What’s the story behind the Domus<\/strong> Salutem Clinic?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I founded the Domus Salutem Clinic in 2007, at the end of my degree. It came from the need to fulfil my dream of building up my own clinic with the purposes and values that I believe are the basis of dentistry. I chose the place where I grew up, Abrantes, because I knew from an early age that the medicine I wanted to practise would be very much focused on people, and there is nothing better than making science and care available to the people who are part of our history. The clinic started with two dental consultation rooms, where basically only one was fully functional, mine! 15 years later, many changes have taken place, including the arrival of my wife, Cl\u00e1udia Cardoso, to manage the clinic. As a result of the people who come to us and an increasingly demanding population, we are encouraged, daily, to position ourselves in the forefront of dentistry, both professionally and technologically. In the last five years we have seen the growth and expansion to our two clinics, going from two initial dental consultation rooms to six. At the head office and “mother” clinic (located in Rossio ao Sul do Tejo) we have three dental consultation rooms, one surgical room and two rooms for medical specialties. The clinic located in the city of Abrantes has 2 consultation rooms and only focuses on dentistry.The two clinics are based on the same professional ethics, being governed by human respect and well-being and offering competence and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How is your team formed in relation to dentistry?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n At this moment, we have a team of 12: me, Diogo Fragoso (owner and clinical director), my colleague, wife and also co-owner, Cl\u00e1udia Cardoso, six full-time dental assistants, and four other dentists, with the aim of providing a qualified and specialised response in the various areas. Success is the result of the dedication of the whole team, which contributes daily with a personal attitude and contribution to our knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And besides dentistry, what other services can you provide to your patients?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have other services such as: general and family medicine, psychology, speech therapy, internal medicine (autoimmune diseases), rheumatology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, orthopaedics, paediatrics, vascular surgery, endocrinology, traveller’s consultation, legal medicine, nutrition, otorhinolaryngology and gastroenterology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why a multidisciplinary clinic?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The multidisciplinary clinic arises from the fact that we are a renowned clinic in the city. Our patients requested that we provide them with other kinds of medical specialties, which motivated us to satisfy their demands. There was also a demand from the doctors themselves to make their services available in the clinic space, which allowed us to widen the offer of services and care we could provide in various fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Innovation is the watchword in the health field. How does it adapt to new technologies?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Innovation and investments in knowledge are part of our way of being in dentistry. In professional terms, we are aware that updated knowledge is constantly needed. There is regular investment in terms of innovation and technology, as well as in training and hiring highly qualified professionals. The clinics are equipped with the most up-to-date technology, involved in a space of excellence and innovation. Through promoting and valorising technological innovations, we point out that we prioritise human relations, and seek to achieve the best results associated with the full satisfaction of our patients.
