How was the OPMDcare project born and what is the ultimate goal?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This project was born from the need to relay information about the importance of oral cancer diagnosis, namely the identification of several types of changes that can turn into oral cancer. We believe that early identification of Potentially Malignant Oral Abnormalities (PMOAs) is fundamental in order to detect the risk of transformation and possible treatment early. The main goal of this project was to provide an updated guidance to physicians who see patients with AOPMs involving the oral cavity, allowing them to recognise, investigate, diagnose and monitor these changes.
