We’re organizing the DentalPro Awards again, but this year with a different format. The \u201cBest Dentist\u201d initiative, with several categories in competition, aims to honor and distinguish the work of excellence of Portuguese dentists and simultaneously promote greater communication and interaction between the various players in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the winners are announced, a business lunch will be held to bring together the members of the jury, made up of a representative cross-section of the dental sector’s business community. Miguel Mendes, Upcera’s local manager, is among the professionals who will be selecting the dental clinics’ work of excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Miguel Mendes graduated in Prosthodontics from the Faculdade de Medicina Dent\u00e1ria da Universidade de Lisboa in 1998. Throughout his professional career, he has been a trainer for Amann Girrbach and Sirona in Cad-Cam systems. “I specialize in digital workflow and dental materials, especially zirconia and disilicates. I’ve always been connected to new technologies in the dental sector.” He is currently local manager at Upcera, a company based in Shenzhen, China. “Founded in 2003, Upcera has more than 50 patents and has always had the motto of being a \u2018Trusted Materials Specialist\u2019. Miguel Mendes is also a partner and technical director of THELAB YTRIO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event, in addition to the voting, there will be a debate between the professionals present, on current and relevant topics for the activity. It will also be a great opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas. The jury meeting will take place on June 17 in Porto.
