Demanding postures, long working hours, and the inherent stress of the profession are factors that have led many dentists to suffer from musculoskeletal problems, chronic stress, and other debilitating conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Portugal, there are already professions recognized as high-risk or stressful, which benefit from special early retirement schemes. The union argues that dentistry should be included in this group, as is the case in other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Reality shows that many colleagues reach the end of their careers with serious health problems.
