\u201cAt the moment, we are operating in two modalities: a standard laboratory and a coworking concept.\u201d This was the major news shared exclusively with DentalPro by Oleg Blashkiv, owner of KODM Dental Labs<\/a>. In a conversation with the team, the dental technician revealed that the space is designed for technicians who want to \u201cwork independently with their clinicians, but supported by an institution\u201d and who can \u201cspecialize in a specific area and customize their work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focusing on \u201ca different concept, centered on the dental technician\u201d has always been Oleg Blashkiv\u2019s and KODM Dental Labs\u2019 main goal. This project had been in the planning stage for some time but has only now come to fruition. However, not everything is completed yet, as the plan is to move to larger facilities with better conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are talking about a space of nearly 400 m\u00b2, where we will combine both concepts: the standard laboratory and the coworking concept, functioning as a true incubator for independent labs,\u201d Oleg Blashkiv explained. He continued: \u201cAs I have always sought quality and excellence, my idea was to create a coworking laboratory where we can operate as independent units, working in a shared space but individually with each dentist.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oleg Blashkiv cites the example of Helena Maia and Christopher Pereira, who run Mydentalab, an independent laboratory that has already joined this project and begun working directly with their clinicians, receiving support from KODM and the rest of the team whenever needed. In addition, another independent technician also operates under this model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KODM director explains that this concept \u201cis a major advantage for technicians,\u201d as management, bureaucracy, material purchases, and maintenance are minimized, freeing time for technical development, ongoing training, and closer collaboration with clinics and patients. Practically, it is a space that provides all the infrastructure and support while allowing each laboratory to maintain its identity and technical independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal, they clarify, is to empower the dental technician as an independent unit, fostering the sharing of experiences, rapid problem-solving, and collective growth. \u201cWith this concept, we want to create better-prepared technicians, with access to tools and knowledge that allow them to compete in a constantly evolving market,\u201d adds Oleg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
