The Iberian Symposium came to life on May 15th and 16th, with 150 registered participants attending the debate and knowledge updates promoted by 10 speakers, who led 11 scientific sessions and six hands-on courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The focus of the meeting was the scientific program dedicated to oral aesthetics and rehabilitation, which was complemented by practical training, allowing for immersion in various techniques, from the use of intraoral scanners in fixed prostheses to vertical preparations (BOPT), among other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The panel of speakers reflected this symbiosis between dentistry in the Iberian context, bringing together the speakers Jorge Andr\u00e9 Cardoso, Lucas Pedrosa, Lu\u00eds Anes, Rafael Pl\u00e1 Mart\u00ednez, Ricardo Recena, Rub\u00e9n Agust\u00edn Panadero, Rui Isidro Falacho, Sara Andr\u00e9 Casado, Victor Henarejos Domingo and Vincenzo Giovane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exchange between Portuguese and Spanish dentists was the focus of this event co-organized by the Portuguese Dental Association and the Spanish Society of Stomatological and Aesthetic Prosthetics (SEPES).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The interaction and exchange of experiences took place in parallel during the breaks between sessions and at the official dinner of the 1st Iberian Symposium, which brought together speakers, congress participants and companies in a landmark venue in the city of Porto, conducive to networking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a relaxed atmosphere, far from the periods of concentration required by the training component, dentists from various parts of Portugal and Spain had the opportunity to share experiences and talk about their profession in an international context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The president of the OMD (Portuguese Dental Association), Miguel Pav\u00e3o, and the treasurer of SEPES (Spanish Society for Professional and Technological Development), Sandra Fern\u00e1ndez Villar, welcomed the participants, with the Spanish representative highlighting the importance of “professional networking” and how these events contribute to the creation of “a small community of friends and colleagues who share knowledge” and have the opportunity to exchange opinions and questions about their challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Miguel Pav\u00e3o noted that this “Iberian alliance” brings an “exchange” that responds, on the one hand, to “the duty of dentists to pursue continuous training,” and on the other hand, to the promotion of values \u200b\u200bof socialization and camaraderie, and “strengthens our union as colleagues.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
