A woman in a profession \u201cdominated\u201d by men, who\u2019s trademark colour is red, and wishes to inspire other female dentists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;At first, I was surprised to be chosen, but then I felt very happy because there aren&#8217;t many Portuguese to be recognized in this kind of business and it&#8217;s always a way to validate our work. It&#8217;s a reflection of 18 years of dentistry, a lot of effort and work, not only in the clinic but also in research. I am 42 years old and finished my doctorate two years ago, it is a life dedicated to study. Anyone who knows me knows that I have fought hard to get to where I am. All I&#8217;ve achieved is thanks to my effort. To have been able to take on several degrees and, at the same time, be a mother, a woman and an entrepreneur, was a very great accomplishment.
