New governing bodies elected for the European Prosthodontic Association (EPA)

Dentist João Malta Barbosa is the first Portuguese professional to join the governing bodies of the EPA and describes it as “an honor, as a Portuguese, to take on responsibilities and serve a historic association like the EPA at the European level.”

The European Prosthodontic Association (EPA) is a historic organization within the context of European Dentistry. Founded in 1977, its mission is to promote communication and cooperation between European countries in the dental specialty of prosthodontics.

Over the years, the EPA has been an active voice with various European institutions, working to achieve recognition and strengthen the specialty of prosthodontics across Europe. Today, it recognizes and brings together nearly 280 specialists from various European countries, according to strict admission criteria.
