Yesterday, the 15th of February, was performed the first sialoendoscopy at the Casa de Saúde da Boavista, the first also in the Northern Region of Portugal. DentalPro followed this intervention, headed by the stomatologist Tiago Fonseca, in exclusive, and tells you all about it in our next edition.
The Clínica de Glândulas Salivares (CGS) – Salivary Glands Clinic is a specialized structure dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of salivary glands diseases. Its’ focus is on a close assistance and following, offering the best that knowledge and technique allow. This clinic incorporates the know-how of different healthcare specialties, based on a dedicated and differentiated team and it offers all the complementary means of diagnosis for the salivary glands pathology, sialometry to sialo-MRI, sialography and sialoendoscopy. The sialoendoscopy technique consists in visualizing the inside of the salivary canals. This technique allows the direct and immediate diagnosis of several pathologies, as well as of all obstructive pathologies, without the disadvantages (or need) for using other imaging techniques.
