“Man controls everything, except Nature”, said Charles Darwin. The DentalPro team meticulously organized the first event to nominate the 10 best Portuguese clinics, but couldn’t foresee the bad weather that greeted everyone during lunch. The space of the Eleven restaurant at the of Eduardo VII Park in Lisbon was the perfect setting for an unforgettable day in the life of the magazine, but the rain didn’t ruin the moment, the good mood took over the entire event.
Ricardo Flaminio, director of DentalPro, welcomed all the members of the jury, with the company of the editor Fátima Amaral Ferreira. António Pinho Santos from Instradent Iberia, Hugo Costa from Pierre Fabre Oral Care and António Ribeiro from Apex were the first to arrive. They were later joined by Sérgio Almeida from Edente, Rui Montellano from Montellano and Ana Galvão from BTI – Biotechology Institute. The rules were set at the start: while Chef’s Joachim Koerper dishes were being served, there would be a debate among the professionals present concerning relevant and current themes about the dental activity in Portugal.
As the end approached, it was time for the highlight of the event, with all the jury members voting individually on the best national clinics, at the invitation of DentalPro magazine. The evaluation criteria was Human Innovation, Current Management, Environment and Proper Service. After the jury’s deliberation, the winners were announced: LAclinic (Aveiro), Clínica Mota (Leiria), A. Korrodi Ritto (Leiria), IRO – Instituto de Reabilitação Oral (Lisbon), Clínica Praça de Espanha (Lisbon), Clínica Dentária Infante Sagres – Grupo FA (Lisbon/Porto), Clínica do Poço Novo (Lisbon), Nova Dentismed (Lisbon), Clínica Dentária d’Avenida (Porto) e Remiclinica (Santarém). On the 16th of May, there will be an award ceremony at the Casino de Lisboa, hopefully with the weather helping.
