Last year, Otometrics supported the work of Carlos Gejo Limia to graduate in Audiology at the “Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde” (ESTeSC), in Coimbra. Led by Carla Matos Silva, the theme chosen was “Hearing loss in dentists” and focused on the exhaustive analysis of the hearing of 19 dentists who had began their career.
In order to do so, the student concentrated his efforts in professionals who were constantly exposed to noise caused by the turbines and saliva vacuums, as well as by other normal tools in this profession. After the statistic analysis of the cases, the findings of his work were very interesting.
