“The CNPSO should be selected by public tender”

For the retired Professor, César Mexia de Almeida, a true “officer and gentleman”, the National Coordinator for the Promotion of Oral Health (CNPSO) of the Board of Health and Welfare (DGS) should be a stomatologist, a dentist or a dental hygienist with a postgraduate degree in preventive and community oral health, rather than what has always happened.

The solution is, he argues, “selecting the CNPSO by public tender, with a competently prepared set of specifications”.
