Grupo Maló is one the biggest debtors of Novo Banco

In 2017, Novo Banco declared losses of about 500 million euros coming from the loans granted to eight clients. Grupo Maló is among these eight.
According to the online newspaper Eco and Correio da Manhã, the business groups that forced this bank to recognized these impairments were Promovalor, Grupo Lena, SCG, Prebuild, Grupo MSF, Grupo Tiner and Grupo Moniz da Maia, among others. In the industry of oral healthcare, Grupo Maló is the most prominent.
These debts attain large amounts. The 500 million euros of the impairments recognized for these eight clients represent 24% of the potential losses of 2.057 million euros that will be taken by Novo Banco in 2017.
