Portuguese Dentist elected governor of ICD

Maria João Rodrigues, dentist and associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, was elected governor of the International College of Dentists (ICD) by Portugal. The election took place during the winter meeting of the European Section Board of Regents, in Leiden, the Netherlands.

The International College of Dentists is a prestigious organization of dentists of all specialties, representing more than 100 countries.

A College Fellow is accepted by invitation only. The appointed dentist goes through a rigorous peer review process, which leads to individual recognition for “excellent professional achievement, worthy service, and dedication to the continued progress of dental medicine for the benefit of mankind.
