The dental care offices have been operating since the end of February in the health centres of Caldas da Rainha, Alcobaça and Óbidos, the first three of the Western North Group of Health Centres (ACES) to provide that area of expertise to patients, the ARSLVT said.
In a statement issued by Lusa, the executive director of ACES, Ana Pisco, classified as “an important milestone” the fact that, “from now on”, “another clinical specialty will certainly become an added value for the population of these municipalities”.
Access to the consultation depends on the referral of the family doctor, with priority being given to “adults with diabetes, heart and cancer and vulnerable groups”, explained ARSLVT.
