OralMED brings together dentists to clear up patients’ doubts

To mark World Oral Health Day, the OralMED Health Group’s dental clinics brought their medical teams together on a special initiative: the creation of an oral health library.

Portugal is the second country in the European Union with the greatest oral health problems. More than 70% of the Portuguese have missing teeth and 55% of people have no alternative. There are also more than 60% under the age of six who have never visited the dentist.

To combat this scenario and promote its prevention, those involved edited six practical and interactive guides that answer all the patients’ questions: the Oral Health Guide (50 questions, 50 answers); the Pregnancy Special; Baby Special; Children Special; Orthodontics Special; and the Implantology Special.

“We know that prevention begins with access to information. And who better to answer our patients’ questions than our clinical staff?”, stated Eduardo Pinto, administrator of Grupo OralMED SAÚDE. “That’s what we did. We brought together doctors from all over the country and created a library that explains all the themes of dental medicine, in everyday language”, he concluded.

The guides can be found here.
