David Penn’s first time in Portugal

The consultancy GM Business Consulting will welcome David Penn for two lectures under the topics of “Clear Aligners, Aesthetics and Building a Practice for the Future” and “Predictability and Clear Aligner Therapy? What Is Real and What Is a Cartoon!” on the 4th and 5th of October, in Lisbon.

With this initiative, the consultancy intends to provide dentists and clinical managers with knowledge and practices that are already established in mature markets in orthodontics with aligners and validate and demystify some emerging concepts in the Portuguese market, both from a clinical and organizational point of view.

David Penn has a dental degree from Sydney University Dental School and has done extensive training in the USA. In 1983 he created Southern Cross Dental Laboratories, “whose growth has led to it being considered one of the world’s leading state-of-the-art dental labs.”

In 2011, he won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, “one of Australia’s most prestigious awards in the service division”. He has trained over 2000 students in the Invisalign® system and in 2016 he founded the first Australian government-accredited private dental school, the Postgraduate School of Dentistry in Sydney, where he currently holds the position of Head of the School of Aesthetic Orthodontics.

He is a speaker who presents various topics, especially in the area of aesthetic orthodontics and facial aesthetics. He is also responsible for the I&D of a variety of dental devices, including Penn Composite Stent, Atlas Cabriolet Orthodontic Retainer and, more recently, Munchies for orthodontic adjustment and maximizing force application with removable aligners.
