A little over a month before the 28th Congress of the Order of Dentists (OMD), we spoke with Sofia Arantes e Oliveira and Ricardo Faria e Almeida, presidents, respectively, of the organizing and scientific commitees, to know what we can expect from this edition that “it will unfold in a new space, with great conditions for the event.”
DentalPro: What can we expect from the 28th edition of the OMD Congress?
At the 28th edition of the OMD Congress we will have a real immersion in dentistry. With a scientific and socio-professional program of excellence, with important and current topics, this edition has as its novelty the application of the formation of the Order of Dentists, which contains information from the Congress, as well as all events of the Center for Continuing Education. Participants can also experience other aspects: the commercial component with Expodentária Portugal and the professional and personal networking component through interaction with colleagues.
DP: Why the move to FIL – Lisbon International Fair?
The congress has been growing every year and, last year, as a result of the experience of inclusion of the members, we reached a record number of almost 7,000 congressmen. In Lisbon, at this moment, the only space capable of holding such an event is FIL. It is suitable for this event for its characteristics, which allow better circulation and have points for rest and conviviality. We will occupy two FIL halls and the PT MeetingCenter space.
