On the Agenda… at the 28th WTO Congress

As in all editions, the scientific program of the Congress of the Order of Dentists (OMD) includes socio-professional themes of great importance to the class. This year, the name has changed and is now called “On the Agenda”. We spoke with Pedro Pires, a dentist who is part of the organizing committee, so that we can know in advance the topics that will be discussed between November 14 and 16 in Lisbon.

“The Congress of the Order of Dentists is much more than a scientific congress” Pedro Pires began by telling us, adding that the OMD, being “an association governed by public law, is in charge of regulating the profession, as well as other ‘missions’ such as discipline and deontology as well as the continuing formation of its members and associates. In other words, providing continuous formation to its members is one of the functions of the Order, expressed in its Statutes. In this sense, the topics addressed during the annual congress take into account issues that interest all dentists and are on the agenda. ”

For the 28th edition of the congress, Pedro Pires said that they “re-examined” some topics of interest discussed in other years. The “On the Agenda” moment, which will take place in Room 2, opens with the meeting of the Lusophone Dental Association (ADL), where all the Portuguese Speaking Countries come together to talk about “Oral Health is general health. More quality of life in CPLP ”.For the 28th edition of the congress, Pedro Pires said that they “re-examined” some topics of interest discussed in other years.
