On January 4th the new director of the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMDUL) João Caramês took office. The ceremony took place at 12pm in the Senate Room of the Rectory building of the University of Lisbon, chaired by the rector of the University of Lisbon – António Manuel da Cruz Serra, assisted by vice-rectors João Manuel Pardal Barreiros and Eduardo Manuel Baptista Ribeiro Pereira.
This inauguration was also attended by the parting director and deputy director, Luís Pires Lopes and Jaime Portugal respectively, who have just completed a six-year term at the institution; the president of the School Council, João Aquino Marques; professor Mário Bernardo; executive director Cristina Fernandes, accompanying the new director and the new vice-director, João Caramês and Duarte Marques respectively.
