ORAL-B and the Non-Government Organisation (NGO) ‘Mundo A Sorrir’ launch a supportive campaign thinking about the oral health of socioeconomically vulnerable children in Portugal.
With the purchase of an ORAL-B electric toothbrush, the brand offers an ORAL-B product to ‘Smiling World’ to be distributed by this organisation to children.
ORAL-B’s objective is “to help children through a social campaign where we can all contribute for their health and wellbeing”. The initiative came from “the need to fill an oral health gap within the youth and children community”, reads the communiqué from the NGO.
For Oral-B, the “partnership with ‘Mundo A Sorrir’ signifies being able to contribute significantly for the improvement of the oral health of many children who do not have the chance to access basic oral health care, in most cases, because of a lack of oral hygiene products.
Francisco Reis, Oral-B’s Marketing manager, assures that “implementing an accessible campaign that allows us all to help each one of these children is one of the priorities as a brand that is committed to inclusion. Above all, it is up to us to help because more than providing an opportunity for these children, we are revolutionising their future.”
The NGO ‘Mundo A Sorrir’ was founded in July 2005 in Porto, with the mission “to promote Health and Oral Health and a universal right among the populations in a situation of greater socio-economic vulnerability, namely children”.
For Mariana Dolores, resident of NGO “Mundo A Sorrir” the work of this organisation “is to promote Health and Oral Health as a universal right among socio-economically vulnerable populations, namely children”.
In Mariana Dolores’ opinion, the campaign looks to reinforce “the implementation of oral hygiene habits, from early on, it is fundamental for children to grow up in a healthy way, guaranteeing them a better quality of life and a more inclusive future”.
