At the age of 27 (in 2009) Carlos Diniz founded what later became the largest Portuguese chain of dental clinics, also with presence in Spain. He has participated in several fundraising and M&A processes in the health sector.
Currently, the founder of Dentral sees ‘new opportunities’ for the dental sector, at a time when digital brings new skills, but also new challenges.
“Those who think that digital transformation is about buying an intraoral scanner and sending .stl files to a laboratory, abandoning the Bronze Age technique of casting and counter-moulding that is used to this day. On top of all this, new professions and jobs will appear in this sector. There are therefore many opportunities”.
