This academic competition allows final-year students of the Egas Moniz Faculty of Dentistry to carry out and present an individual or group presentation on the topic of: High-tech Medical Devices and their Impact on Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment in Oral Health.
In this pioneering edition, 1st prize was awarded to Beatriz Duarte and Diogo, with their project: “Digital Workflow in Aesthetic Rehabilitation: from Planning to Treatment”; 2nd prize went to Ana Rita Dias, with her work titled “From Impression to Adhesion: A Digital Approach in the Preparation of an Overlay – Clinical Case”, and 3rd prize was awarded to Inês Botelho and Marta Dias, with their entry named, “Fabrication of an Occlusal Stabilisation Tray: Clinical Case”.
In 2023, the FITAS Award aims to be, “an academic competition at national level”, with the second edition to be “prepared and presented in all Faculties of Dentistry in the country”.
