At the 31st Congress of the OMD – Ordem dos Médicos Dentistas [Portuguese Dentistry Association] – Teresa Alves Canadas, President of the Organising Committee, highlighted “some of the key objectives and contributions from the more than 65 workshops led by some of the greatest experts in oral health at national and international level”.
The OMD collaborated with the atelier of artist Joana Vasconcelos to “pay tribute to the work of dentists over the past 40 years”. “Coração Independente” was the exhibition that marked the motto of this congress – “Art with heart”.
At the opening session of the 31st OMD Congress, Manuel Pizarro, Health Minister, praised “the excellence, expertise and technical sophistication of dentists as fundamental contributions to the promotion of oral health of Portuguese citizens”.
