Ivoclar introduces innovation for professional dental cleaning

The innovative VivaDent® aerosol-reducing gel has been developed: its unique formula makes it possible to effectively reduce – by up to 99% – the mist and aerosol produced by ultrasonic scalers.

This innovation is a milestone in prophylaxis work and meets the highest quality standards. The systematic reduction of spray mist and aerosol not only makes professional dental cleaning easier but also offers several advantages:

  • Better visibility of the treatment area
  • Less likelihood of spreading airborne diseases by reducing the aerosol produced.
  • More comfortable experience for patients, as the face remains drier due to the lower spray mist.
  • Easy handling and dosage

“VivaDent aerosol-reducing gel binds the aerosol before it forms. In addition, the mixing gel is gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan, and tasteless to meet the needs of all patients,” points out Maurizio Dottore, Director of Prevention and Care at Ivoclar Group.

In two simple mixing steps, the entire content of a single-dose sachet is mixed with a liter of water in a mixing bottle, shaking for about 30 seconds to form a homogeneous solution. After a resting time of at least 10 minutes, ideally overnight, the prepared solution is introduced into the external cooling reservoir and professional dental cleaning can begin.

This innovation from Ivoclar not only creates a safer and more pleasant practice environment for dental hygienists and dentists but also for patients, thus reflecting the company’s mission of “Making people smile”.
