‘At the height of an era in which dentistry is increasingly competitive, DentalPro magazine is committed to organizing an initiative that is seen as a way of fostering greater communication between the various players in the sector, bringing everyone together,’ says Ricardo Flamínio, the publication’s director. He added: ‘We want to create links between everyone and give a stage to the dentists who dedicate their lives to the profession and make dentistry in Portugal great.’
To this end, the Francisco de Assis Auditorium at the Luso-Francês College in Porto will host Dental/NEXT on the afternoon of 13 September, with a wide range of professionals for two different moments: the presentation of the DentalPro 2024 Awards and two round tables to discuss issues relevant to the profession.
The event
The DentalPro Awards made their debut in 2017, at the Lisbon Casino, and in 2018 they traveled to the city of Invicta to fulfill the standards of refinement, then at the Casa da Música. The 2024 edition is divided between the DentalPro SUPPLIER Awards and the DentalPro BEST DENTIST Awards. Before the awards ceremony, which starts at 5 pm on Friday 13 September, we’re organizing two round tables on the topics of ‘The expansion of clinic brands’ at 2.30 pm and ‘Challenges facing dentistry today: artificial intelligence’ at 3.30 pm, with leading figures from the dental sector.

DentalPro SUPPLIER Awards
The DentalPro SUPPLIER Awards honor companies and brands in the dental sector in various areas and for a given year. One winner was selected per category, except the ‘Equipment’ and ‘Furniture’ categories, where two companies/brands were honored for having received an equal number of votes. In addition, a trophy was awarded to the best CEO. In total, DentalPro will hand out 13 awards.

DentalPro BEST DENTIST Awards
The DentalPro BEST DENTIST Awards recognize excellence in Portuguese dentistry, in various areas and for a given year. With 11 categories up for grabs, two dentists/dental clinics were selected per category. Discover the winners here.
To award this prize, we brought together 23 entrepreneurs who chose the BEST DENTIST winners. It should be noted that the dentists who were members of the jury for the DentalPro SUPPLIER Awards could not be nominated for this edition.
