Dental/NEXT (re)unites the dental sector

The DentalPro team’s goal was fulfilled. On 13 September, we brought together almost a hundred professionals from the dental sector at Dental/NEXT. This initiative is a milestone for Portuguese dentistry because of the union we were able to create between dentists, dental technicians and industry professionals.

Moderated by Mickael Freitas, founder of DocBay, the first round table, on ‘The expansion of clinic brands’, was led by Carlos Diniz (Dentral), Fernando Duarte (Clitrofa), José António Rodriguez (Smile.up), Luís França Martins (Fernando Pessoa University), Nuno Marques Santos (Santa Madalena Clinic), Rúben São Marcos (Ageas) and Sérgio Franco (Premium Dent). The second panel, on ‘The challenges of artificial intelligence in dentistry’, was led by Afonso Pinhão Ferreira (Ortopóvoa) and ‘fuelled’ by Adriano Carreira (Carreira Dental Clinic), César Vieira (Smile.up), Francisco Delille (Delille Clinic), Patrícia Manarte Monteiro (Fernando Pessoa University) and Cassis Clay (Oralplan). Two very interesting sessions, praised by the audience, which presented the points of view of the various speakers – key figures in the dental sector – and which will be published in the next edition of DentalPro.

After a pleasant networking and socialising cocktail, we returned to the auditorium to reward excellence. We began by presenting the awards to the companies and brands in the dental sector honoured with DentalPro SUPPLIER. On stage, some of the jury members present at the event, namely dentists Adriano Carreira, Cassis Clay, César Vieira, Fernando Duarte, Francisco Delille and Nuno Sampaio, hand-delivered the trophies to the winners: Inibsa (Medicines), Dentaleader (Consumables), Cliveste (Clothing), Utrade and Zirkonzahn (Equipment), Fibrion Health Solutions (Oral Hygiene), Imaginasoft (Software), Apex and Montellano (Furniture), BTI – Biotechnology Institute (Implantology), Ormco (Orthodontics), TBO – Central de Compras (Services) and Pedro Gonçalves, from Dentsply Sirona (CEO).

We can therefore say that the DentalPro team’s objective has been fulfilled. At Dental/NEXT, we brought together almost a hundred professionals from the dental sector. It’s an initiative that stands out as a milestone for Portuguese dentistry, not so much because of the subjects debated or the awards ceremony, but because of the union we managed to create between dentists, dental technicians and industry professionals. Thank you to everyone who made Dental/NEXT possible and we sincerely hope that we will meet again soon to share ideas and exchange hugs.
