Since its opening in 2013, the laboratory has seen sustained expansion. With a team of eight people who guarantee the realisation of all types of prostheses, milling is the core business of its production. Ana Silva, founder and director of Laboratório Novodente, tells us that she ‘likes to take risks, evolve and always go one step further’ in a sector where digitalisation is already a reality that is impossible to ignore.
What is Novodente’s number one goal?
We want to externalise all our know-how to the market. More clients is advertising, so I want more. We want to grow and growing means having more people working. Our image is on the streets and in clinics through our courier and the aforementioned boxes. Social media, particularly Facebook, is a window on Novodente that we try to promote on a daily basis. It’s important to show our work.
How has your work evolved? What is Novodente’s scope of action?
Clinics currently account for 100 per cent of our production, and we feel that we have a lot of satisfied customers. Regarding specific partnerships, we currently work with Nobel Biocare. We work within an approximate radius of 50 kilometres, with a courier service that picks up and takes away jobs on a daily basis. Anything outside this perimeter, we work with a courier, because we can no longer afford the in-house courier service. We have clinics in Guimarães, Chaves and Águeda. We’ve even worked with a clinic in the Algarve. So, if possible, we work all over the country.
How does Novodente position itself?
Our calling card is the experience we’ve accumulated in 11 years of working in the sector. We take on jobs well in advance, so that we have room to correct if something isn’t right. No job leaves here that isn’t 100 per cent compliant. Our deadline is one day before delivery. We guarantee reliability throughout the process.
