The 5th edition of the Maria de Sousa Award will support up to five young Portuguese scientific researchers up to the age of 35, living in Portugal or abroad, with projects in the area of health sciences, including an internship at an International Center of Excellence.
Each research project selected for support will receive up to a maximum amount of €30,000 and applications will close on 31 May 2025. The jury is composed by: Rui Costa, Maria do Carmo Fonseca, Miguel Castelo-Branco, Joana Palha and João Relvas.
This is an initiative of the Ordem dos Médicos and the BIAL Foundation, which “aims to honor the physician and great researcher Maria de Sousa, contributing to research in the area of Health Sciences”.
