28th OMD Congress had over 6,000 participants

The Congress of the Order of Dentists (OMD) gathered 6,213 people during the three days of the event, which for the first time was held at the Parque das Nações FIL in Lisbon. More than 4,000 dentists and more than 1,000 dental students took part in the 28th edition of the event to attend conferences by 118 national and international lecturers.

751 people attended the 15 courses, namely for dental assistants and periodontology, endodontics and hands-on courses on sutures in oral surgery, dentistry, medical emergencies, implantology or leisure. There were also 101 scientific presentations.

In the Expodentary, which, as usual, took place simultaneously with the congress, a total of 13,046 entries were registered in the three days. 145 companies were represented, spread over 526 stands supported by 1,760 corporate employees.

The congress and the Expodentary occupied two pavilions, the PT Meeting Center and the Great Hall of FIL in an area that exceeds 22 thousand square meters, the largest area ever in the history of the OMD congresses. The organization involved a team of 370 people, including dentists, permanent OMD staff, FIL technicians, among others.
