The Portuguese dentist chaired the 22nd meeting of the European Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (EADSM), held in Budapest from 8 to 10 October 2026. “It was three days marked by knowledge sharing, excellent presentations and a scientific programme of great quality.”
In her opening remarks, she had the opportunity to address her colleagues and to “use the metaphor of the bridges that connect Buda and Pest to reinforce the Academy’s mission: to bring dentistry and sleep medicine closer together, fostering collaboration between different fields and specialties”. She adds that it was also “a privilege to present the 2026 Aurora Award to Professor Cibele Dal Fabbro, in recognition of her contribution to this field”.
However, she says the most significant moment was her re-election as president of the EADSM for a further two-year term. “This is a recognition I receive with immense gratitude and a sense of responsibility. Thank you to all my colleagues for their trust, their presence and their ongoing commitment to the development of dental sleep medicine. We will continue to build bridges, share knowledge and work together to advance this field,” she concludes.
