The 29th Congress of the Ordem dos Médicos Dentistas (OMD) will take place between the 5th and 7th of November at Exponor, in Matosinhos. The organizing committee is chaired by dentist Patrícia Manarte Monteiro, member of the board of directors of the OMD.
The Congress takes place simultaneously, as usual, with Expodentária, the largest dental fair in the Iberian Peninsula. Environmental sustainability and lifestyles for the promotion of well-being and quality of oral health and health in general will be two pillars of this year’s edition of the great meeting of dentists.
Patrícia Manarte Monteiro reveals that “the integration of dental medicine with the environment, with health in general and sectorally, and also with the quality of life of patients and, above all, of oral health and dental medicine professionals, will be the mission and the focus of this congress. We are preparing surprises and solutions for the daily challenges of professionals and dentists that will certainly make this event innovative”.
The image of the 29th OMD congress already reflects these two pillars. The president of the organizing committee explains that “the greens and violets, applied to the image, with a dynamic and organic movement, express environmental sustainability and the quality of life associated with the dentist and his patients. On a white background, green and violet waves emerge full of positive and clean energy, which transmit well-being and, we hope, desire to participate in the congress with a smile. The waves are also an association with Rio Douro and the sea and with the entire geographical environment of the city of Porto, which, once again, opens its arms to receive the congressmen”.
