Incisivos – Association of Dentistry Entrepreneurs chaired by Miguel Martins, was created to support the dental sector, in the context of an unprecedented crisis. Alongside dentists who have set up businesses, the association is made up of managers, owners, oral hygienists, and all business owners in that sector. On their website they state that “everyone is welcome as a member, at Incisivos it does not matter who, but what. And the sustainability of dental companies matters. This is about a sector, not just one area”.
The main objectives of Incisivos are “to legally support all members, with everything from issues with employees to patient debt collection, including any situation where it is imperative to have a legal department leading the way, and to technically support associates, through a partnership with special conditions. A company of reference in technical assistance will be dedicated to help failures in equipment that, now more than ever, cannot be stopped; to prevent the bottlenecks regarding the purchase of PPE, not only financially, but also in terms of the certification and deadlines for receiving these items. A central purchasing office has been set up with a partner who will find the main PPE items in the market for associates, including the collection of items, special prices and suitable delivery times; to provide associates with official and regulated training courses, through a company that works with European student exchanges, to place people coming from foreign educational establishments in clinics, with the will to learn in the field; and finally, the most important: to negotiate with the Government a package deal for direct and exclusive support for dental companies. Short, medium and long-term measures”.
