The annual Congress of the Portuguese Society of Orthodontics is an event of great importance and tradition, already considered an international scientific update event.
Under the motto “The power of choice”, this year’s congress combined “an unmissable scientific program and a memorable social program that brought together more than 500 participants. The feedback was excellent, it couldn’t have been better”, begins by mentioning the president of the organizing committee. Maria Cristina Faria Teixeira adds that “the XXIX SPO Congress was for many colleagues the ideal moment to get together and socialize, accompanied by a social program that combined art, music and science.
There was also an opportunity for younger colleagues to create moments of debate with experts and opinion leaders. We saw an increase in participants compared to previous years, reaching a historic and unprecedented number of registrations”.
The panel of speakers included “major references in orthodontics in their areas of research, specialization and teaching: Dr. Tommaso Castroflorio, Dr. Francesco Garino, Dr. Diego Peydro, Dr. Alberto Albaladejo, Prof. Dr. Francisco do Vale, Dr. Pedro Costa Monteiro, Dr. Armando Dias da Silva, Dr. David Ângelo, Dr. Eduardo Prado, Dr. Carlos Mota, Dr. Teresa Alonso, among many other prestigious national and international experts”, assumes Maria Cristina Faria Teixeira.
