Bruxism is a very common condition among the population. In Portugal the numbers show that approximately 100 thousand people are affected.

The Stomatology Service of the Hospital Centre of Setúbal (CHS) has held recently the 1st Meeting of Stomatology for General and Family Medicine.

Lidel published the book “Termografia – Imagem Médica e Síndromes Dolorosas” (Thermography – Medical Imaging and Painful Syndromes), coordinated by six professionals of medicine and engineering.

The representative from Madeira at the Directive Council for the Portuguese Order of Dentists Gil Fernandes Alves, manifested the need to implement the Program of Early Intervention for Oral Cancer, which is already in place in continental Portugal.

Several Portuguese public and private organizations have signed protocols which will allow for the inmates of the Izeda Prison Establishment, to benefit from dental services within the prison itself.
