Clireg Celebrates its 25 Year Anniversary
Today, the 6th of February, Clireg – Reguengos Clinic – celebrates its 25 years of existence. We spoke with the manager of Clireg, David Santos, who gave his assessment of the last 25 years, describing it as, “naturally very positive and constantly increasing in value”.
“Life is Built on Dreams and Passions”
Jordão Alves is the current CEO of High Speed Service Portugal (HSSP), a company previously run by Sorin Madrea. “Following the tragic passing of the engineer, I decided to continue his great work and develop it with great professionalism”, he says in an interview, adding that the maintenance of rotary brushes, in both clinics and laboratories, is a long-term passion of his.
“We think that early identification of PMOCs is crucial”
Luís Silva, Luís Monteiro and Rui Albuquerque spoke to DentalPro about OPMDcare, a European project to promote information on Potentially Malignant Oral Changes (PMOCs). “The main objective is to provide up-to-date guidance to doctors who see patients with these changes affecting the oral cavity.” To this end, a digital platform for information and knowledge exchange has been created: OPMD Healthcare Professional Training.
“They are all different cases and, for me, they are all special cases!”
With experience in the treatment, without the need for sedation, of autistic children, Tânia Lourenço, founder of Clínica Dental Mind, argues that this option avoids the use of other drugs that can be more harmful to the body, and is ultimately less complex. On the other hand, “it allows the patient to develop greater control of his behaviour during the medical appointment, as well as an awareness as to the importance of changing daily habits to ensure good oral health”.
